Events

This section determines how events are created and purged either automatically or via Completion Instructions. Default values may be defined, refer to section Uproc Default Settings.

• Functional period

  The application period for which operations are run. Possible values are: None, Day, Week, Ten days, Two weeks, month, Two months, Three months, Four months, Six months or Year.

  The Functional Period determines the calculation of the Processing Date.

• Uproc Memorization as an Event

  Memorization defines how many events corresponding to a Uproc execution for a given processing date will be saved in the events base.

  • No memorization: Uproc executions are not recorded as an event once the execution has finished. Default value for Uprocs created in the command line.
  • Memorize a single instance for a processing date: Only one event will be saved for a given processing date. Default value for Uprocs created in UVC.
  • Memorize all instances for a processing date: All events will be saved for a given processing date.

  Events are automatically purged as defined by the "keep events" section below.

• Keep Events

  This section defines how long Uproc events will be retained in the event base. This requires the Uproc to be defined with a functional period.

  • Remember a single processing date: Only the last event regarding this Uproc will be kept.
  • Remember all processing dates: The event will be kept permanently. This option should be avoided unless explicit completion instructions are used to purge this event. This option, if not combined with completion instructions, might impact Dollar Universe performance.
  • Remember the last x processing dates: An event will be kept for x functional periods.

  The minimal value is "1" for a Uproc memorized with a functional period.

• Completion Instructions

  The completion instructions of a Uproc are performed when the job completes (execution status = Completed). Completion instructions define which events will be purged after the completion of the Uproc.

  To add a completion instruction:

  • Click Add to display the creation window.

  To open a completion instruction:

  • Select the instruction from the list.
  • Click Update to display the update window.

  To delete a completion instruction:

  • Select the instruction.
  • Click Remove. Confirmation is required.
