Configuring the RA Avaloq Agent

After installing the Avaloq Agent, an RA Avaloq Agent template is available by default in Client 0 > Process Assembly > Explorer > TEMPLATE. You can configure this template with default values. These values will be then predefined in the Agent objects that you create based on the template.

This topic explains how to configure the Avaloq Agent.

Agent Authorizations

You must grant the Avaloq Agent the authorizations that you deem appropriate on the Clients to which it should have access.

To Define the Agent Authorizations on Clients

  1. In Client 0, go to the Administration Perspective > Agents & Groups > Agents.

  2. Open the Agent.

  3. On the Agent page, select the rights that you want to grant the Agent on each of the available Clients.

  4. Save and close.

Debug Level

This determines the amount of the generated output in the reports. The possible values are:

  • 0: Minimum output

  • 1: Additional information

  • 2: Basic debug output

  • 3: Full debug output

Timeout

This determines the period of time that the Avaloq Agent will wait before stopping the execution of a job.

  • For jobs

This is the lapse that the Avaloq Agent will wait until the corresponding function is started in the target Avaloq system. If this time lapse is exceeded, the job fails.

    Recommendation: 900 seconds

  • For tasks

This is the lapse that the Avaloq Agent will wait until the task is completed. If this time lapse is exceeded, the task ends with Task ended in timeout status.

Poll Interval

This determines how often the status of the executions will be checked.

Recommendation: 60 seconds
