Working with the Business Objects Agent Solution
The basic steps for implementing the RA Business Objects Agent solution include:
- Loading the Business Objects .jar file into Automic.
- Putting the Business Objects .jar files on the Agent machine.
- Optionally specifying Automation Engine/Agent timeout seconds.
- Optionally setting up SSL.
- Creating Business Objects Connections objects (referred to as Logins in Applications Manager). There are three types of Business Objects Connection objects:
- Web Service: This is where you define the Web Service URL for Crystal Reports and a REST URL for Web Intelligence Jobs.
- FTP Destination: To FTP Business Objects output.
- File System Destination: Copy Business Objects output to the file system.
- Configuring the Business Objects Agent in Client 0. Using the menus under the Business Objects tab of a Business Objects Agent object, you can specify:
- General settings.
- Webi Email Notification Settings.
- Creating Automic Jobs to run Business Objects Crystal Reports and Web Intelligence Jobs.
These steps are described in the following topics in this chapter.
