Installing the Client Interface

The Automation Engine can be configured to automatically place the JOBs it submits to z/OS clients under RestartPlus control.

Installation Options for the Client Interface

If you are using a release of the Automation Engine earlier than 2.62G/2.63G, contactour Support team to obtain the include object HEADER.MVS.RESTART.PLUS.TEMPLATE and the most recent version of the object HEADER.MVS. Afterwards, load both of them to No. Folder on Client 00.

Using the Restart Module for All Clients

Duplicate the include object HEADER.MVS.RESTART.PLUS.TEMPLATE to HEADER.MVS.RESTART.PLUS in the No. Folder in Client 00.

Using the Restart Module for Selected Clients

Copy the include object HEADER.MVS.RESTART.PLUS.TEMPLATE to No. Folder on the desired client(s) and rename it to HEADER.MVS.RESTART.PLUS.

If you are using a release of Automation Engine earlier than 2.62G/2.63G, you will also have to copy the most recent version of the object HEADER.MVS to the No. Folder on the desired clients.
