The Management Server is closely associated with the Sysload Communication Server, without which it cannot start.

Management Server Architecture

Secure Communications

Every client Module creates a continual connection with Management Server. This kind of connection, combined with the fact that the most important requests (those including passwords) are encrypted, makes the connection between Sysload client applications and the Management Server highly secure.

Active Directory Integration

Sysload Analyst Users and User Groups can be managed via MS Active Directory (AD) integration. The Management Server uses Microsoft's "Active Directory Service Interfaces" (ADSI) to communicate with Active Directory.

The creation/modification of Users and their Group membership can be delegated to the Active Directory administrator. The Sysload administrator integrates them in Sysload Analyst and manages access rights on Sysload Analyst Management Server Objects.

In order to be able to use the AD integration functionality, the "Sysload Management Server" Service must be launched with a user that has AD read-only rights.
