The System Monitoring page gives you a clear overview of the overall status of your system and, particularly, of your schedulers. Here you find up-to-date information about your AAI server installation and can perform system-wide tasks. It is also the starting point to add, configure, and work with schedulers.
This page includes the following:
Automation Analytics & Intelligence Server
monitoring the AAI server, AAI server monitoring
The Automation Analytics & Intelligence Server (x.y.z) pane shows a brief summary of the overall status of the system. Click the More Details button to open a dialog with the details. Some of the fields on this dialog are self explanatory and we do not describe them here.
System Details
system status, system details
-
Start Time
Time at which the AAI server was started.
-
Uptime
Time between the start time and now.
-
Memory
The first number is a snapshot of the current memory usage. The second number indicates what has been configured to be available for AAI.
-
Warning Threshold
AAI issues a system alert when the maximum amount of memory that has been allocated to AAI is reached.
The memory statistics (Memory and Warning Threshold) are also written to the log in intervals that can be configured.
Database
database details, monitoring the database
This section displays information about the AAI database to which the AAI server is connected. This information is read from the jaws-database.xml file located in the <Automation_Analytics_Intelligence>/jboss/standalone/configuration directory.
Statistics Generator
The Statistics Generator recalculates all the average running durations for all the jobs for each scheduler defined to AAI. This information is relevant for the prediction reporting. Usually the Statistics Generator is scheduled to run once a day.
The Delay Warning is used for reporting the status of the Statistics Generator in the System Check feature. If the Statistics Generator fails to work for more than the specified interval, then a warning message appears on this page. The default value for triggering the warning is two times the interval.
Administrators can configure the Statistics Generator in the Configuration tool. For more information, see Configuration Tool - Intervals Tab.
Jammer
The Jammer retrieves the latest job run information from the scheduler by polling its database, particularly, the events table at regular intervals. The default interval is 20 seconds. If the Jammer fails to work more than the specified interval, then a warning message from the System Check appears on this page. The default value for triggering the warning is 10 times the Jammer interval.
Administrators can configure the Jammer in the AAI Configuration Tool. For more information, see Configuration Tool - Intervals Tab.
Schedulers
For detailed information about schedulers, how to add and configure new ones and how to work with them, see Schedulers.
