Application Access Policy

Class: JawsApplication

Description: This access policy controls global access to the Automic Automation Intelligence Application (AAI). It controls whether a user is allowed to run the Java Client, the Command Line Interface and the thin client.

Resource: No resource for this class. These are non resource-specific actions.

  • Action: runJavaClient  

    If this action is not allowed for a particular user, they will get an error message after trying to log in through the login box in the Java GUI (either applet or application).

  • Action: runCommandLine  

    If this action is not allowed for a particular user, they will get an error message after attempting to login via the command line interface.

  • Action: runThinClient  

    If this action is not allowed for a particular user, they will get an error message after attempting to login via the thin client API.

  • Action: runImportExport  

    If this action is not allowed for a particular user, they will get an error message after attempting to login via the import/export tool.

  • Action: registerWCCServer  

    If this action is not allowed for the particular user, then that AAI user can not register AAI server in the CA Workload Control Center (WCC).

  • Action: editPredictedDuration  

    If this action is not allowed for a particular user, they will not be able to add, edit or delete prediction durations for any job.

  • Action: runStatisticsGenerator  

    If this action is not allowed for a particular user, they will get an error message after attempting to run the Statistics Generator via the Recalculate Averages... menu item in the Tools menu of the AAI client or the recalculate_averages() method in the CLI.

  • Action: overrideMaxJobsPerJobstream  

    If this action is not allowed for a particular user, they will not be able to create jobstreams with more than a limited number of jobs. The limit on the number of jobs allowed in a jobstream can be modified via the maxJobsInJobStream parameter in the Configuration Tool.

  • Action: createSendEvent  

    If this action is not allowed for a particular user, they will not be able to create send events or see the send event menu items in the Gantt pop-up menu or the job search dialog pop up menu.

  • Action: viewSystemAlerts  

    If this action is not allowed for a particular user, they will not be able to view system alerts.

  • Action: editSystemAlerts  

    If this action is not allowed for a particular user, they will not be able to create or edit system alerts.
