Searching for Jobs (Thick Client)

AAI 's thick client provides a centralized, flexible job search function that you can access from the Tools menu. The results of your search include all jobs that match the criteria that you enter on the Job Search dialog along with each job's status and properties. This list is a good starting point when you investigate the job details.

To Search for Jobs

  1. Go to Tools > Job Search.

  2. Click on the Select Property button to open the Select Job Property window, where all job properties are listed either by category (business area) or by name.

  3. Select one or more job properties and click OK.

  4. Use the operators to enter your search criteria.

  5. Click on the Search button.

The list on the lower part of the dialog displays the resulting list of jobs. From this list you can do the following:

    • Right-click on a column header to access the following functions:

      • Resize or remove the column

      • Add columns with Job Properties or Job Run Properties values. For more information about the job details, see Job Details (Web Interface).

    • Right-click a job in the list to access the following functions:

      • Copy the entire table to the clipboard.

      • Copy the job name to the clipboard.

      • Create a Jobstream, where the selected job is the target job.

The CA Workload Control Center (WCC) integration only supports WCC version R11.1 or earlier. By default, the WCC Integration is disabled and the menu items above are invisible. AAI administrators can make them visible by manually enabling theWCC integration using the Configuration Tool - Params tab. Locate the parameter named client.wccServerIntegrationEnabled under less commonly configured and change its value to True.

      • Create Send Event (AutoSys): If the user has the correct permissions and the AutoSys version is later than R11.3, the Send Events for the specific job will be available in the menu. Possible options include: STARTJOB, FORCE_STARTJOB, KILLJOB, JOB_ON_ICE, JOB_OFF_ICE, JOB_ON_HOLD, JOB_OFF_HOLD, DELETEJOB, and the following CHANGE_STATUS statuses; SUCCESS, FAILURE, INACTIVE, RUNNING, TERMINATED, and STARTING.
