Active Sessions

user sessions, active sessions

As an administrator, you monitor the connected user sessions for which you are responsible. In an environment where the eEM domain controls the user access to functions, you see the active sessions for users to which you have read access. In an environment with any other domain, you see all active sessions in the system. The Active Sessions column shows the number of the currently active sessions per user.

Currently, the new Web UI only shows the number of the currently active sessions per user in the Active Sessions column of the User Management > Users list. To disconnect sessions, you must use AAI's thick client.

To Disconnect a Session

  1. In AAI's thick client go to the Admin tab and open the Users page.

  2. Open to the Active Sessions tab. If you have the necessary privileges, the checkboxes before the user names let you select users to disconnect their sessions.

  3. Click the Disconnect Session button on the top right of the table of sessions.

Once a session has been disconnected, the user on that session will receive the following notification that their session has been terminated.

All Licenses in Use

If all the licensed sessions are in use, as an admin user you can still log into AAI and receive a limited User Interface. Here you can view and disconnect active sessions. The users whose sessions have been disconnected will not be able to access AAI features and functions until a license is available again.
