Getting started with Data Collection Service (DCS)
DCS is automatically started if you install One Installer. If you want to manually install DCS see: Setting up the Streaming Platform on Linux
Automic does not currently support manual installation of the Streaming Platform on Windows operating systems.

DCS Reference Materials
Catalog of DCS Categories
The DCS Reference Materials provides a comprehensive guide to the DCS Categories which includes the following data for each category:
- Category name - As described in the DCS collector configuration.
- Description - A short description of the data information gathered (for example the AEAgent category in based on inventory data related to an Automation Agent registered on an Automation Engine).
- Data Stream - The data source (i.e. CA Automic One Automation Platform).
- Schema -The data structure of the Category.
- Data Record Example
- Collector - The collector that is used to gather data for the displayed Category.
