Deployment Pipeline Widget

This widget displays high-level information about an Application including deployment status with drill-down capabilities for a defined order of Environments.

To Configure the Deployment Pipeline Widget

  1. Select the applications that you want to display. You can also select all applications in bulk by clicking the Select all... option above the list.

    Note: Archived Applications and Environments are only displayed if the Show Archived Items checkbox has been selected in the Settings dialog. Archived entities are displayed in italics. For more information, see Showing Archived Items.

    The Environments that are related to the Applications selected are displayed in the Design deployment pipeline section

  2. Drag-and-drop the environments you want to display to one of the pipeline stages (columns) below.
  3. (Optional) Click Configure pipeline to configure the predefined pipeline. The Configure pipeline window is displayed, where you can rearrange, delete and add new columns to the pipeline.

    Note: Each stage must contain a minimum of 2 columns and a maximum of 10.

  4. Click Save. The Deployment Pipeline is displayed.

    The deployment statuses are marked with different colors:

    • Green: deployment was successful.
    • Red: deployment was NOT successful.
    • Yellow: deployment is blocked.
    • Gray: no deployment has taken place so far. This Environment has been used in an Application Profile. If there is no relationship established between an Application and an Environment, no box is displayed.

    The following details are displayed for each deployment:

    • Status bar indicator
    • Name of the Environment
    • Starting/actual date & time of the last deployment
    • Status icon
    • Runtime (deployment duration)

      Note: The duration of running deployments is the time elapsed from the deployment start until the current point in time.

    • Click the More Options button to do one or more of the following:
      • Click Open Installations to open the Deployment Details window. The following information is displayed:

        • Application and Environment related to the Package.
        • Which components are in the package.
        • Link to the last deployed Package.
        • Deployment Target, Artifact (if applicable), Package, Profile, Status and deployment date & time of each Component.
        • Execution Status.
      • Open the Workflow Monitor

      • Restart the execution

      • Change the state
        (Only if Package states and transitions are defined for the current Package - see Working with Deployment Package States)

        A maximum number of five transitions are displayed. If the transition you want to promote the Package to is not displayed, open the Package and select it from the details sidebar.

  5. (Optional) Enter a Description to help others identify the type of data displayed in the widget.
