Provisioning Environments

After creating a Stack Provider, a Stack Template and a Blueprint, you can provision an Environment.

Note: All ports of the Docker container are automatically exposed to the host's port range.

There are two starting points to provision Blueprints:

This topic describes how to provision Blueprints from the Environments list.

Important! The actions that you can perform depend on your folder permissions. See: Assigning Release Automation Permissions.

To Provision a Blueprint from the Environments List

  1. Select Environments in the main pane.
  2. Click the Provision button in the toolbar. The Provision Environment from Blueprint dialog is displayed.
  3. Select the Blueprint to be used for provisioning a new Environment (which consists of a Stack Template and the corresponding Deployment Target types needed to provision the Environment).
  4. Enter a name for the new Environment.
  5. Select the Environment type.
  6. From the Folder drop-down list, select the folder where you want to store your Environment.
  7. Define an owner. The current user is selected by default.
  8. Click Provision.

The provisioning workflow will provision the necessary infrastructure for a new Environment. This Environment can be later used to deploy an Application.

Note: After clicking the Provision button you are redirected to the Provision Monitoring view. Click the Monitor Workflow button to keep track of the current status and progress of the Workflow and each and every task included in it.
