USER_SESSION_TIMEOUT - Configuring the Session Timeout
As an administrator, you create this parameter in UC_SYSTEM_SETTINGS to define a timeout in seconds after which AWI sessions are terminated.
The session timeout is disabled, that is, the AWI sessions remain open permanently, in the following cases:
-
You do not define this parameter.
-
You define this parameter and set the timeout to 0.
-
You define this parameter and do not specify a timeout.
When users move or click the mouse, or press any key on the keyboard, the timeout is reset to 0 and the count starts again.
-
Key: USER_SESSION_TIMEOUT
-
Value 1: Any integer. The minimum configurable timeout is 30 seconds. If you enter a value smaller than 30, the timeout falls back to 30 seconds and an entry in the log indicates this.
-
Restart required: No
If you specify a timeout, this setting takes effect as soon as Users log in to AWI again; this setting has no effect on Users who are already logged in at the time when you create and configure this parameter.
Important!
-
Internal AWI checks might delay the automated timeout up to 1 minute.
-
This timeout applies only to AWI logins. It does NOT apply to users who log in through a REST call or a Call API.
