Embedded Workflows in the Monitor
When a Workflow contains another Workflow as a task, it is referred to as an Embedded Workflow. In the Workflow Monitor, you can monitor the progress of these sub-Workflows directly within the context of the parent Workflow.
Embedded Workflows provide a compact view by default, but they can be expanded to show their internal structure and the status of their individual tasks. For this purpose, click the Expand/Collapse icon (square with diagonal arrows) located in the bottom right corner of the task box. The task box expands to reveal the internal flow, including the Start and End nodes and all tasks within that sub-Workflow. Each internal task displays its own status.
Hover your mouse over any task within the expanded view to see a tooltip containing details about the status and configuration of that task.
You can right-click any task within the expanded embedded Workflow to access the standard context menu (for example, to open the report, view details, or restart the task).
To return to the compact view, click the Collapse icon in the bottom right corner of the expanded box.
Note: Expanding an embedded Workflow allows you to see its structure "in-place." However, if you need to perform complex troubleshooting or view a full-screen version of the sub-Workflow, you can right-click the task and select Open Monitor to open the sub-Workflow in its own dedicated monitor tab.
