Modifying Priority

The Automation Engine has a mechanism to process the tasks in the order that is determined by their priority. The Automation Engine priority is defined in the UC_CLIENT_SETTINGS variable and in the object definition, on the Defining the Attributes Page. For more information, see Automation Engine Priority when Executing Objects.

You can modify the priority of a active, blocked or waiting task (tasks with a status between 1500 and 1799) in the Process Monitoring perspective. This change applies to the current execution of the task and not to the object definition. If you want this change to be permanent, you have to open the object itself in the Process Assembly perspective and change the priority there on the Attributes page.

To modify the task priority, right-click to select Modify Priority. Select the new priority on the dialog that opens up.

Tip: Add a comment to your modification to keep track of your changes. See Adding Comments.
