Deleting Objects/Folders

As a developer and object designer, you can delete objects and folders. You can do it from both the Process Assembly perspective and the context-menu on the Global Search.

Right-clicking an object and selecting Delete does not remove it immediately from your system. It moves it to the Recycle Bin list. From here you can still:

Notes:

To Delete Objects

  1. Select one or more objects, right-click and select Delete.
  2. Before actually deleting the object you must confirm your action.
    • If it is used in other objects, such as Workflows or Schedules, a dialog is displayed indicating it.
    • If you have selected multiple objects, the dialog indicates the number of objects you are about to delete.
    • If you have selected only one, the dialog displays the name of the object you are about to delete.
  3. Click Delete.

Important! Links are not objects. To be able to delete them you must have write access to the folder where the link is stored.

To Delete Folders

Select one or more folders, right-click and select Delete.

Notes:

Important! Deleted folders are no longer available in the database and cannot be restored from the Recycle Bin.

To Search for Object Dependencies

  1. Open the Recycle Bin list
  2. Search for the object and right-click to select Search for Use. A list is displayed that contains all the objects in which the selected record is being used.
  3. Right-click any item to open the context menu containing them.

To Restore an Object

  1. Open the Recycle Bin list
  2. Search for the object and right-click to select Restore.

You can also select various objects and restore them in bulk.

  3. A pop-up message is displayed confirming that the object has been restored.

It is now available under <No Folder>. You can store it in a different folder using the Moving Objects or Folders within a Client function.
