Showing Windows Side by Side

When designing objects, monitoring tasks or troubleshooting, you sometimes need to open multiple windows at a time to have an overview of all the data you need. Right-click one or more objects or tasks and select Open Object in New Window. New, detached browser windows open up displaying the selected objects. You can arrange them side by side on your screen.

Requests, Messages and reports have a detach icon on the top right corner of their dialog or pane. Click it to open them in detached windows that you can also arrange side by side.

The captions of detached and new browser windows display the user and session information (user name, department, Automation Engine system, Client). When you hover your cursor over the browser icon on the taskbar, this information is also displayed as a tooltip.

All windows belonging to the same session display the same color in the horizontal bar that is displayed at the top of the page. For more information, see Session Color.
