Searching in the Administration Perspective

Whereas the global search scans the client to find records that match your search string, the Administration Perspective perspective provides an additional search function for some of its areas.

In large installations you may have defined many users, user groups and connections. A search box is available on the toolbar that helps you find specific records.

The search is not context sensitive.

To Search for Records in the Administration Perspective

  1. Open the window in the Administration Perspective where you want to search for records.
  2. Start typing your text string in the search box. The application starts displaying possible matches as you type. For example:

    Click to Expand

    Notice that all records containing admi are listed, regardless of its position in the user name.
