Application ID

Administrators of the Analytics service have to perform several tasks to prepare the Analytics service for users.

The DCS data sharing mechanism uses an "application_id" that is dynamically created by ONE Automation and is linked to data relating to each One Automation installation you use.

Analytics uses the "application_id", it is contained in the AVRO files generated by "DCS-tools".

• When the Backend starts, it checks if the "application_id" is stored in the Datastore.
• If an "application_id" it is found, DCS will use it when exporting data for sharing with Automic.
• If no "application_id" is not found, it is automatically generated and stored.

When moving Analytics from one machine to another, it is important to keep the same ID. Contact technical support to know where to find this "application_id" in Analytics Datastore.
