My Catalog Widget

The My Catalog Widget provides direct access to all the folders, objects and tasks that you are authorized to work with. They have been assigned to you by your system administrator and are also available in the My Catalog perspective.

Executing a Task

Right-click the task and select Execute.

If the object configuration requires you to enter values before executing it, the Request dialog opens up. Enter the necessary data and click Submit. For details see Requests.

See also Available Functions Depending on the Task Status and Working with Tasks.

Opening the Object in Read-Only Mode

To better understand why the objects behave as they do, you can open the object definition in read-only mode and check its settings. This is particularly useful if a task fails and the information on the Executions list is not enough to understand what went wrong.

  1. Right-click it and select Open.
  2. The object opens in read-only mode. For more information see Defining Objects.

Adding Objects and Tasks to your Favorites

From this widget you can also add objects or tasks to the My Favorites list in the Process Assembly perspective. This automatically adds them to the Favorites Widget.

  1. Right-click an object/task and select Add to Favorites.
  2. The Add to Favorites dialog is displayed.
  3. In Folder select the folder to which you want to add it.

The object/task is now also available both in the My Favorites list in the Process Assembly perspective and in the widget.

Accessing the Task Execution Data

The Executions list provides historical details on a particular activity and allows you to further process it, provided you have the necessary rights.

  1. Right-click a task and select Executions.
  2. The corresponding Executions list is displayed.

Each row is an execution of the selected task. By default, the last one is displayed at the top

  3. If you want to further process an activity (cancel, suspend, restart, etc.), right-click on it to open a context menu with all the available functions.

Which functions are displayed depends on your rights and on the status of the selected activity.

For details see Execution Data.

Accessing the Task Last Report

Combined with the information provided by the Executions list, the reports provide comprehensive information on the actions carried out on an object. They are created for all executable objects.

  1. Right-click a task and select Open
  2. The Report window is displayed. For details on how to work with it see Working with the Reports Window.
