Keyboard Shortcuts
To help you work faster and more effectively, you can use keyboard shortcuts as an alternative to the mouse. They are supported for:
- All lists with toolbars and context-menu entries.
- Input fields in dialogs.
- The script editor.
- Cells in editable tables that contain Cut, Copy and Paste buttons.
This topic provides the list of all keyboard shortcuts available in the Automic Web Interface.
Browser Shortcuts

F5 refreshes the content displayed in the Automic Web Interface (lists, editors, monitors, etc.).
It has the same effect as pressing the Refresh button on the toolbar.
- Ctrl + R and Cmd + R have the same effect as F5.
- Ctrl + F Opens the browser search.
- Ctrl + P Opens the print dialog.
- Ctrl + Z Undoes the last typing.
- Ctrl + Arrow Up + Z Redoes the last typing.
- Ctrl + Tab Switches to the next browser tab.
- Ctrl + Arrow Up + Tab Switches to the previous browser tab.
- Ctrl + Number Switches to the X browser tab.
Shortcut Keys in Lists
Instead of toolbar buttons or right-click functions you can use the following shortcut keys:

Del
Deletes the selected item (object, row, etc.).

Enter
- Opens the selected item.
- In the Process Monitoring perspective, it opens the list of Executions of the selected task.

Depending on the list that is currently active, this opens the Add Object, Add User, or Add User Group dialog.

Ctrl + A
Selects all the items on the active list.

Shift + Arrow Up or Down
Selects multiple rows in bulk.
Shortcut Keys in Dialogs

Enter
Confirms your input. It is the same as clicking the OK button.

Tab
Jumps to the next input field.

Shift + Tab
Jumps to the previous input field.

Esc
Cancels the operation. It is the same as clicking the Cancel button.
Shortcut Keys in the Script Editor
The following shortcut keys provide quick access to functions:

Ctrl + A
Selects the entire script.

Ctrl + C
Copies the selected text.

Ctrl + X
Cuts the selected text.

Ctrl + V
Pastes the copied or cut text.

Ctrl + S
Saves the changes.

Ctrl + Y
Redoes the last undone modification.

Ctrl + Z
Undoes the last action.

Shortcut Keys in Editable Tables
You can select the content of a cell and cut or copy it and them paste it in another cell:

Ctrl + C
Copies the selected cell content.

Ctrl + X
Cuts the selected cell content.

Ctrl + V
Pastes the cell content.
