Logging In

The information that you must enter to login to the Automic Web Interface depends on the type of login setup at your company. If the Kerberos authentication protocol is set up, the login is fully or partially automatic. Otherwise, you must enter your login data. This topic describes the available login options and the login dialog, including the Version Information section. This section gives you direct access to CA Automic support portal and website.

Notes:

This page includes the following:

Standard Login

If you have a default setup, this is what you see on the login page:

Fully or Partially Automatic Login

With the Kerberos authentication protocol setup, you have the additional option to Use Kerberos Login. Select it to save your login data for future logins and bypass the login procedure (the login screen might flash briefly).

Notes:

Losing Kerberos Connection

If you lose Kerberos connection, the login dialog is displayed regardless of your previous choices and shows the following warning message:

Screenshot of the warning that reads the following:"Kerberos login is not available"

This can happen if you log in from a computer or server that is not in the Windows domain where Kerberos is installed. If you have this problem in a domain that you regularly use, contact your system administrator. In the meantime, you can log in with your user name and password.

Logging in for the First Time: The Home Page

If you connect for the first time and nothing is configured yet, you see the default standard interface (HOME). Only the Queue Monitor widget is available.

The Home page contains elements specific to you or your team. If you have the necessary rights, you can customize it with other widgets.

See Dashboards.

Logging Out

Expand the arrow that is next to your user name and session information on the top right corner of your screen. Then select Logout from the drop-down list.
