Installing Java Runtime (JRE or JDK)

Check your Java version

Check the Contrôleur de compatibilité Automic to see which Java version you need. If you already have that installed on the server where you will install the AWI, you can skip to the step "Installing and Preparing Apache Tomcat."

You can check the system's current Java Virtual Machine (JVM) version by using the command "java -version".

If several different Java versions are installed on your computer, then, when defining %PATH% or $PATH variable, ensure that the order of the specified directories is correct. The first JRE in the list will be used.

Update/install a required version

If you do not have one of the required Java versions installed on the machine where you will install the AWI, then do the following:

  1. Download and install the Oracle Java Runtime Environment (JRE) or Java Development Kit (JDK) onto the computer on which you are gong to install AWI. You can find the download on the following site:
