Working with the Tasks in the Schedule Monitor

The Schedule Monitor provides detailed information on the progress of the Schedule and of the executions of its tasks. It is available as soon as a Schedule has started. In addition to the toolbar buttons, selecting and right-clicking a task or opening the More button displays the list of functions available for that task. The status and the type of object determines which ones are available.

This topic provides a list and describes the most common functions. See Working with Tasks for a list of all the functions that are available to tasks. See also Available Functions Depending on the Task Status.

Go Immediately

Option that affects the task that you have selected in the Monitor and that is enabled or not depending on its status. It starts processing the task immediately. Tasks that have a Waiting status start as well. It also starts child tasks.

Reset Task

Option that affects the task that you have selected in the Monitor and that is enabled or not depending on its status. It sets the status of an ended task to its previous status (Waiting for Start Time).

See Example: Scheduling Tasks with Time and Calendar Conditions for an example of how and when to use this function.

Tasks can be started immediately regardless of their status, start time and conditions. If tasks that are Waiting for start time are started immediately, the next automatic start for this task takes place after the Schedule's period turnaround.

Note: Tasks that have already started continue running.

Note: This option is relevant for tasks that are waiting to start because of missing queue slots (Waiting for Queue slot)
