Creating Packs
You create Packs to make Workflows (Actions) available for reuse. Therefore, the following must be ready before creating the Pack:
- Clear purpose of the Pack
- Technology to be used
- Actions that are needed to perform the operation and any parameter that is necessary for it
- VARA objects and variables
To Create a Pack
- Go to the Process Assembly perspective and open the Packs view.
- Select Add Action Pack.
- On the New Action pack dialog enter the title of the Action pack.
- Click Add Action pack. The predefined Pack folder structure is created.
- Enter information about the Action Pack in the Documentation object that is stored in the DOCUMENTATION folder.
- Optionally, enter a category for this Pack in the METADATA VARA object. This category lets users find the Pack more easily by filtering by it.
