Viewing Object and Task Details

To show detailed information about the configuration of an object or the execution of a task, select the object or task and click the Details button on the toolbar. The details pane is displayed and provides the information in collapsible sections. If you select multiple objects, tasks or executions at the same time, the Details pane indicates the number of items that you have selected.

If your objects/tasks have long names or titles, drag the left border of the pane to expand it and see them in one line. If you want to copy a word (a name, title, runID, and so on) to paste it elsewhere, double-click it and press Ctrl-C. To copy a whole string, triple-click it and press Ctrl-C.

Object Details

You access the details of an object from the Explorer list in the Process Assembly perspective. The details pane provides the following information:

  • General data about the object, mainly taken from its General Page. For example, name, title and archive keys.
  • Path where the objects is stored
  • Creation date and last modification date as well as number of modifications so far
  • Estimated runtime of the object. For non-executable objects, the value is always 0:00:00 hh:mm:ss.
  • Your authorizations on the object

Task Details

You access the task details from any list in the Process Monitoring perspective. Right-click a task and select Details (or click the button in the toolbar) to open the Details pane. This pane contains information about the execution of the tasks and the values used for the execution, for example:

  • Status bar with the color that indicates the task status
  • Summary of the source object configuration
  • Task start and end time
  • Current runtime of the task, which is the time that the task has been running so far. Consider the following:

    • The runtime is displayed only if the task is running or has run. Tasks that have not started yet do not have a runtime.
    • Tasks in a Workflow are activated when the Workflow is activated. The current runtime is not calculated using the task activation time but its actual start time.
    • Update the runtime information by refreshing the page.
  • If available, parent and/or activator task and status of the task within the parent/activator
  • If available, summary of the Notifications associated with the task
  • Lists of the object variables applied to the task and the values that those variables used during execution

Note: For tasks in Workflows, in addition to this pane, you find details about the tasks in the task boxes and in the task tooltips. For more information, see Task Boxes in the Workflow Monitor.
