Utilities Reference
As an administrator, you can use utilities to manage and maintain the AE database to keep the database size to a minimum, reorganize the repository to minimize integrity losses, keep the system more responsive and so on.
Important!
-
Do not start utilities in parallel because this can cause unwanted side effects.
-
Some utilities support UTF-8 while others do not. For more information, please refer to the corresponding utility documentation page or Universal Language Support (Unicode).
-
Each utility requires a dedicated INI configuration file to connect to the database. You can secure the database credentials in these INI files by manually obfuscating them with the default UCYBCRYP utility, or by enabling the automatic password encryption. For more information, see Obfuscating and Encrypting Passwords.
