UniJob Import

UniJob jobs can be imported into the Dollar Universe Tasks and Uprocs (on the selected node). Dollar Universe not only supplements the scheduling functions offered by UniJob, but also enables production to be monitored across many machines via Univiewer.

Environment Selection

Select the Unjob node(s) from which jobs must be imported.

Click on to display the current selection. The list of nodes can be sorted by node name, node label and hostname.

The user can select an individual node, or use the options Select All and Select none. Once a selection has been made, click OK.

Jobs List

The displayed list shows the UniJob jobs sorted by submission account.

• To reduce a user cron table, click the – near the user name.
• To expand a user cron table, click the + near the user name.

Statuses:

• Enabled: The user can select the job to be imported into Dollar Universe.
• Disabled: The user has disabled the UniJob job or it has already been imported.

In the Job column, check one or more boxes to select UniJob jobs to be imported (use the Select All or Unselect All buttons).

Click Next at the bottom of the window. Double-click on the title bar if the buttons are not visible.

Task List Preview

This window lists all the UniJob jobs selected in the previous window.

At this point, the jobs have not yet been created in Dollar Universe nor deactivated in UniJob.

Job List Preview – Toolbar:

• Update: select a line and click Update. Univiewer opens the job definition:

If a Uproc is selected, refer to section: "Uproc Details".

If a Task is selected, refer to section "Task Details".

The UniJob job target name is automatically attributed to the Task’s Management Unit.

• Select All/Unselect All: select or unselect all jobs in the list.
• Rename: automatically rename all the selected Tasks (box checked) using the Name pattern value. By default the new name is: !CONVINDEX!– !CMD!

!XX!: means that XX is a specific Dollar Universe variable

CONVINDEX: is an index, automatically incremented during the job conversion

CMD: is the job command line

To modify the Task name:

• Select the Task from the list (check its box).
• Enter its new name in the Name pattern field or
• Click on Rename to apply the name entered in the Template name field to all the selected jobs.

Click on Next to launch the job conversion (no cancellation possible).

User Service

This window lists the submission accounts used in the UniJob jobs to import, which are not defined in Dollar Universe.

If all the submission accounts for the UniJob jobs to import exist in Dollar Universe, this window does not appear.

You can click on the Update button to update the description for the submission account used; refer to section "V6 Submission Account Details".

Click Next. The missing accounts will be automatically created.

In Windows, The import will create a user service for each submission account (one user service per submission account). The password is necessary to create the user service in Windows.

• For users who have no credentials:

No effect on the converted job (such as the "Interactive job" flag in the Uproc)

If the password has not been provided, the User Service will not be created.

• For users who have credentials:

If the password is provided, the User Service will be created.

If part of the user information is wrong (domain/user/password), the User Service will be created but it will not be able to start.

Job Import

Each job selected from the previous screen will be imported:

• The job will be deactivated in UniJob.
• The UniJob user will be created in Dollar Universe V6 Accounts.
• The Management Unit with the name of the Unijob target will be created in Dollar Universe Management Units
• The target variables will be created in the Uproc Variables.

Click Close to close the Wizard
