Alert rules are defined in the Univiewer Management Server. They regroup all Dollar Universe production activity (Companies / Nodes / Areas).
For the alerts to work, the UVMS optional service "Enable Alert Management" must be activated (Administration > Nodes > Management Server Node Settings > Optional Services).
For UVMS to work correctly, the number of alerts in UVMS should be lower than 100,000. The purge criteria in UVMS and the Alerting Rules should therefore be defined accordingly.
Found in Monitoring mode > Operations Settings, this list displays alerts configured by the user for the job run duration and status. The alert could be an email and could also be transferred to a software supervisor by a Dollar Universe Manager or by a generic monitoring library.
Alerting rules are stored on the Univiewer Management Server only. They are transferred to the Dollar Universe nodes with the synchronization. If you want to execute an alert without delay, use the manual synchronization (refer to section "Synchronization - Full Synchronization").
The alerts sent are stored on the Univiewer Management Server.
For UVMS advanced architecture (master / subordinates), the alerting rules can only be defined or modified with the master UVMS. They are transmitted to the subordinate UVMS with synchronization. The user can display them on the subordinate UVMS.
