Name: the Session code

Label: the Session's description

Version: The version number of the Session. In the Production Area the only possible version number is "000".

Tree

The following actions can be used to build the Session tree:

Add>Insert header: This is the first thing you need to do. A header Uproc is mandatory to create a Session.

Add>Insert: Select a Uproc in the Session first; the Uproc’s borders change color. Right click or choose from the toolbar one of the following options:

• Insert normal child: The new Uproc will be inserted on the normal processing path after the selected Uproc.
• Insert Return Code child: The new Uproc will be inserted on the "Return Code" processing path after the selected Uproc.
• Insert error child: The new Uproc will be inserted on the error processing path after the selected Uproc.
• Insert parent: The new Uproc will be inserted before the selected one and takes its place in the tree. The selected Uproc becomes the child on the same path (normal, return code or error processing path).
• Insert peer: The new Uproc will be inserted at the same level as the selected one, on the same processing path.

Uproc selection: Left click on a Uproc icon to select the Uproc in question. To select the Uprocs in a branch, left click on the expander arrow to the left of the branch and all the Uprocs in the branch to the right of the expander button will be selected.

Cut: To remove selected Uprocs from the tree and copy them to the clipboard.

Copy: To copy selected Uprocs to the clipboard.

Paste: To paste a Uproc or Session branch from the clipboard to the Session, select one of the options below from the toolbar or popup menu:

• Paste as normal branch: to paste to the normal processing path.
• Paste as return code branch: to paste to the return code processing path
• Paste as error branch: to paste to the error processing path.
• Paste on same branch: to paste as a peer in the same processing path.
• Paste as parent: to paste as a parent in the same processing path.

Delete: To remove selected Uprocs from the tree.

Update Uproc: Select a single Uproc then click Update to open the Uproc definition window. Refer to section: "Uprocs".

Execution Context: Brings up the Choose a Uproc and an Execution Context window.

Undo: To cancel the previous action.

Redo: To repeat the previously canceled action.

Zoom: Can be useful for an overall View of a long Session. ([CTRL] mouse wheel also manages the zoom).

Move: A Uproc can be moved across the Session. Select the Uproc to be moved and then click on one of the following items:

• Move the element upwards: moves the Uproc above its peer (before).
• Move the element downwards: moves the Uproc below its peer (after).
• Move the selected element towards the left: moves the Uproc in parallel to its parent (except for a Uproc located on an error path).
• Move the selected element towards the right: moves the Uproc to the normal path of its preceding peer.

A branch can be moved only in relation to another branch of the same type at the same level. A grayed-out option means that it is not available: you must remove the branch and recreate it.

Choose a Uproc and an Execution Context

Uproc: Enter the Uproc name or click the button to select one from the list. You can enter a filter (A*) to filter the Uprocs list.

MU: The goal is to specify on which Management Unit the Uproc must execute irrespective of the MU specified in the Task.

• Same MU: The default choice when inserting a Uproc in the Session. The target Management Unit will be inherited from the Task.
• Specific MU: Sets the specific Management Unit on which the Uproc will execute. Enter the MU name or click the button to select it from a list.
• HDP: Dynamically allocates a Management Unit according to the MU dependencies. For each field, enter the MU type or click the button to select it from a list.

The dependencies between the Management Units are set when defining the Management Unit. Refer to section "Dependencies".

Return Code: Enter the return code of the parent Uproc to launch the selected Uproc. You can enter an expression of the same type than the one use to define the Uproc Extended return code described in the section "Status Management Rules".
