Mass Declaration of Dollar Universe Nodes

Univiewer can read the Dollar Universe V5 nodes table and add the corresponding nodes to its list.

You must first manually add the Dollar Universe reference node from which Univiewer will read the nodes table. Refer to section Node Details.

When you select the "Mass declaration of Dollar Universe Nodes" item from the menu a Window is displayed:

• Dollar Universe Node

  Enter the declared Dollar Universe Node name or click the arrow to select it from the list of suggestions.

  If all Dollar Universe Nodes have been installed with the same port numbers, the three fields below will not need to be filled in.

  If several Dollar Universe Nodes have been installed on the same machine, the following file names and path must be entered.

• Service file

  Enter the system services file where the Node port numbers are declared.

  For example:

  • On Linux: /etc/services
  • On Windows: c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\services

• Node & host mapping file

  Enter the uxsrsrv.sck file name and path of the Dollar Universe Node above.

• Aliases file

  Enter the uxsrsrv.alias file name and path of the Dollar Universe Node above.

Click OK.

Univiewer will read the Node table and declare the Nodes it finds in the list. A message is displayed if no Nodes are found (other than the one already declared).
