Start and Stop Engines and Services

This section describes the commands to start and stop Dollar Universe engines and services.

The Dollar Universe engines and services can be started or stopped:

Commands

The unienv script (located in the Company's root directory) must be executed first to load the logical environment. For instance on Windows:

C:\Program Files\AUTOMIC\DUAS\<COMPANY>_<NODE>\unienv.bat

List the Services

The command uxlst fnc displays the status of one or all of the services. This command executed on the Production area lists the services of all areas.

Its syntax is as follows:

uxlst fnc [FNC=service] [AREA] [node] [OUTPUT=filename] [help]

Example:

The command below displays information for the I/O server in the Application Area.

uxlst fnc fnc=IO app

Start a Service

The command uxstr fnc starts one or all of the services. The IO server in the Production area can not be started by this command.

Its syntax is as follows:

uxstr fnc FNC=service [AREA] [node] [OUTPUT=filename] [help]

Example:

The command below starts the Application Area Launcher.

uxstr fnc fnc=LAN app

Stop a Service

The command uxend fnc stops one or all of the services. The IO server in the Production area can not be stopped by this command.

Its syntax is as follows:

uxend fnc FNC=service [AREA] [node] [OUTPUT=filename] [help]

Example:

The command below stops the Application Area Launcher.

uxend fnc fnc=LAN app
