On the Reset Dependency page, you define the parameters relevant to run that job on the Avaloq system from Automic Automation

As an administrator, after installing and configuring the Avaloq Agent, you must prepare the Avaloq database so that it can work with the Automation Engine. For this purpose, you create and execute the JOBS.AVALOQAGENT.RESETDEPENDENCY job once per Avaloq instance.

JOBS.AVALOQAGENT.RESETDEPENDENCY executes a command on the Avaloq database to disconnect the already existing Avaloq jobs from the Avaloq internal scheduler. This is a prerequisite for the Automation Engine to be able to take over the scheduling operations.

Important!

  • Executing this job once after installing the Avaloq Agent is a mandatory prerequisite, otherwise the Automation Engine cannot take over automation operations on .

  • You can also run this job multiple times. This is necessary if, for example, you create a new Business Unit; the Avaloq jobs are still connected to the internal scheduler, so you must execute this job again to disconnect them.

Defining the Connection Settings

Each Avaloq Job includes a section that you use to connect:

  • Avaloq Instance

    Select the Connection object that will establish the communication between the Automation Engine and your Avaloq system

Next Steps

Once you have defined the RESETJOB, you can execute and monitor it. You can add it to other Automic Automation objects, such as Workflows or Schedules to orchestrate and automate its execution. Note:

Instead of selecting the job parameters in their respective pages, you can specify them on the Process page using the Automation Engine scripting language. You use the :PUT_ATT script statement for this purpose. For example:

:PUT_ATT AVConnectionValue = "CONN.AVALOQAGENT.C1V00001"

To Execute the JOBS.AVALOQAGENT.RESETDEPENDENCY Job

After selecting the Connection and Agent, click the Execute button in the toolbar.

You have the following options to check the result of the execution:

  • Click the Open Report link in the pop up that is displayed after executing the job

  • Go back to the Explorer list and right-click the job to select Monitoring > Last Report.
