Installing the Preliminary Packs

This topic describes the steps to load the preliminary pack PCK.AUTOMIC_BOND into CDA.

To Install the Preliminary Packs with the Windows command line or the UNIX shell

Use the following command to install the preliminary PCK.AUTOMIC_BOND pack:

apm install --from-file <path to the pack archive or directory> -pw <password> -u user/department

Important! Do not ignore pack dependencies to also install the PCK.ITPA_SHARED pack (do not use the flag to ignore dependencies).

Example:

apm install --from-file C:\Pack.Bond_PCK.AUTOMIC_BOND_1_0_0+build.164.zip -pw aepwd -u ADM/ADMINISTRATORS

To Install the Preliminary Packs in a Browser Window

Log into the CDA website as an ARA-Administrator and wait for 60 seconds.
The Start page opens and a request shows up in the AWI Message area (top right corner), informing you that new Custom Types are available.
Activate the new Custom Types manually and - if applicable - move the old instances forward.

As a result, the following packages are installed: PCK.AUTOMIC_BOND and PCK.ITPA_SHARED.

You may also install more packages now, or after you have finished the installation of CDA as one of the CDA Installation Check and Post-Installation Tasks.
