File Transfer Objects (JOBF)

File Transfer objects allow you to exchange files between systems and platforms.

Object type/Short form: JOBF

Transferring files is an integral part of processing. The File Transfer object is a powerful and flexible tool to define parameters to exchange any file from one system to another. If converting characters is required, this is automatically done using Code Table Object (CODE). The transfer can be structured, thus enabling the exchange of files with packed and binary fields in heterogeneous system environments. All network transfers are encoded by default
