Registering your Product
Provided you have the privilege Access to Administration assigned, when you log in to Client 0 for the first time or after an upgrade (if your product has not been registered yet before upgrading), the system checks if your product is already registered or not. If not, the AWI displays the Unregistered Product notification and a dialog is displayed prompting you to register your product.
If you do not want to register your product right away, click the Skip for now button. If you choose this option, the notification remains displayed and AWI and you are prompted to register the product the next time you log in.
Note: If you work with an authorized Broadcom partner, they can register the product on your behalf. The system uses the email address used to register the product to differentiate between direct customers and Broadcom partners. This section covers both scenarios.
Registering your Product
To successfully register your product, follow these steps:
Log into Client 0. The product registration dialog opens automatically.
Enter your enterprise email address, which will be linked to the product registration, and click Start.
Important! The email address you entered is used only for registration purposes and to share relevant product updates. Your personal data is protected in accordance with Broadcom's Privacy Policy.
If the email that you have entered is valid, a one-time password (OTP) is sent to that email address, which you can enter in the dialog displayed after pressing Start. This dialog also gives you the option to Resend the OTP, in case you did not receive it. You can do so up to three times.
Retrieve the OTP from your email inbox. The password is valid for 15 minutes.
Make sure you compare the Request Code in your product registration dialog with the one in the email you received to make sure the OTP is the one you need to register your instance.
Once you have the OTP, go back to the product registration dialog, enter the OTP and click Confirm OTP.
If for any reason the OTP is not valid, the system displays an error message. If the OTP matches, your product is registered and you can close the dialog. The notification is no longer displayed in the Automic Web Interface.
Broadcom Partners Registering the Product
If you want to register the product on behalf of a customer or a company, follow these steps:
Log into Client 0.
Enter your enterprise email address and click Start. The system uses the email address you provide to recognize you as a Broadcom partner.
Important! The email address you entered is used only for registration purposes and to share relevant product updates. Your personal data is protected in accordance with Broadcom's Privacy Policy.
If the email that you have entered is valid, a one-time password (OTP) is sent to that email address, which you can enter in the dialog displayed after pressing Start. This dialog also gives you the option to Resend the OTP, in case you did not receive it. You can do so up to three times.

Select one of these options, depending on which option is relevant for you:
For My Company and click Continue to finish the registration.
In this case, the product is registered to the Broadcom partner, not a specific customer.
For My Customer. Enter the customer's email address and click Continue.
The system sends an email to the customer's address which contains an OTP and two links: One allows the customer to confirm the product registration while the other one allows them to enter the OTP and finish the product registration themselves.
