To insert an object in the Business View editor you can:
Objects can be placed manually or automatically. Refer to section: "Automatic Redraw".
Moving the mouse over an object displays the name and some characteristics of the object in the status bar of the View. For example, for a Uproc: the Uproc name, the target MU (if specified) and the return code (if specified) are displayed.
To execute a Business View, you must distribute or deploy it as a Job Chain. For a node:
The menu at the top left gives access to the following actions:
Save
If some objects have not been saved, a dialog will prompt the user to do so; then the object can be saved. Enter the name of the object and its description. A Business View, a Job Chain and a Production Plan can have the same name, because the extension differs (BV, JC or PP). Click OK to confirm.
Save as
Enables you to save an existing View with a different name and description.
Modify View Label
Enables the View description to be changed. The name of the View is grayed out in this window as it cannot be updated. The description, however, can be modified (up to 255 characters) before clicking OK.
Prints the View. If a printing zone is defined, it prints this zone only; if not, it prints the whole View. It will open a standard print function.
Print Preview
Displays how the View will appear if printed with the current print configuration (refer to section: Print Setup) and printing zone (refer to section Define Printing Zone) below.
Print Setup
Enables the user to define the default parameters affecting both the print preview and the printed output.
Define Printing Zone
Select this option to define the printing zone on the View; draw a rectangle by dragging.
Remove Printing Zone
Removes the defined Printing Zone.
Undo/Redo
This feature is available but the history is reset each time a Dollar Universe object is modified.
